Placing insurance means handling information about your business. This page explains what we ask for, why we need it, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Scope
Ibex Risk Management is a trade name of Ibex Intelligence, LLC, a licensed insurance producer in the State of Tennessee. This policy applies to ibexrisk.com and to information you give us in the course of requesting a quote or having us service your coverage.
As an insurance producer we are subject to the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and to Tennessee insurance privacy regulation, both of which govern how nonpublic personal information is collected, used and disclosed. Where this page and those requirements differ, the law controls.
The specifics
Through the quote form: business name, your name, email address, what kind of business it is, renewal date, current carrier, employee count, prior coverage history and whatever you write in the notes. By email or phone: whatever the submission requires, which for commercial lines often includes payroll, revenue, vehicles, locations and loss history.
Standard web analytics through Google Analytics, including pages viewed, approximate location, referring site and device type. This uses cookies. It tells us which pages are useful; it is not used to identify you personally.
To quote, place and service your insurance, to answer service and certificate requests, to meet the record-keeping obligations that come with an insurance licence, and to improve the site.
Carriers, wholesalers, general agents and premium finance companies as needed to obtain and service your coverage, and the vendors that run our systems — currently Netlify, which hosts this site and receives quote-form submissions, Microsoft, which hosts our email, and Google Analytics. Also where the law or a regulator requires it.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to the insurance you asked us about.
For the life of the relationship and then as long as insurance record-keeping and limitation periods require, which for a placed policy is years rather than months. Quote submissions that never become policies are kept for a reasonable period and then removed.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to the address below and we will respond.
You are never required to give us information. Some of it we cannot place coverage without, and we will tell you plainly when that is the case rather than collecting it speculatively.
Analytics cookies can be refused in your browser settings or by a browser extension, and the site works normally without them.
This site is for business insurance and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security and contact
We keep information on access-controlled business systems and limit it to the people and carriers who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise — but we do not keep what we do not need.
